Total Pet: The Popular Williams Lake Pet Store Preps for Downtown Move

Relocating to a Prime Location in the Heart of the City

Total Pet, a prominent Williams Lake pet store, is all set to move to a bigger space in the downtown core.

The store’s relocation from Broadway Avenue to the former Shoppers Drug Mart location, situated at the intersection of Oliver Street and Third Avenue, is anticipated to happen this summer.

Store manager Lori Stoney expressed excitement about the move, saying, “We are hoping it will be a positive move. It will have better parking, we should get more foot traffic as it is a centralized location.”

More Space, More Features: A Glimpse into the New Store

With a total area of 7,755 square feet, the new store is slated to boast a variety of enhancements. These include a triple bay dog washing station and a cat adoption center, further broadening the store’s offering and appeal to pet owners and animal lovers in the area.

Stoney noted that they are currently on the lookout for a local registered cat rescue organization, and are willing to explore options outside of town if necessary.

Part of a Larger Chain: Total Pet and Pet Value of Canada Incorporation

Total Pet is a constituent of the Pet Value of Canada Incorporation, which also operates Bosley’s, Chico, Tisol, and Paulmac’s Pets. Currently, the Broadway Avenue store has temporarily stopped stocking fish due to the upcoming relocation.

However, Stoney assured that the fish, along with other furry friends and even snakes, will make a comeback once the new store is open.

Looking Forward to the Grand Opening

A grand opening event is planned for when the new store opens its doors. Total Pet welcomes all pets, provided they are on a leash or under the control of their human companions.

The renovation is being executed by Lauren Bros. Construction. The former occupant, Shoppers Drug Mart, had relocated from downtown to the 700 block of Oliver Street in 2019.
